Meet the Monkeys
Founder, Monkey Lounge Games
Diane is the founder of Monkey Lounge Games. She digs on improv, karaoke and theatre games, aspires to be a stage dancer for the Dandy Warhols, and is obsessed with the cuteness of goats. On the more serious side, Diane is a business lawyer who enjoys word games and has a latent interest in quantum physics. She livesin a Colorado ski town with, among many other animals, her goats.
In 2002, Diane, her husband, and 5 of their friends launched a board game very much like Cranium, called Rigamarole. In 2006, after a successful test run, Borders was about to order the game for all their U.S. stores when Rigamarole's licensee (also the manufacturer) went belly up.
Too busy with her day job to regain momentum, Diane put the project on hold. Then luckily in 2008, Diane's horse bucked her off and she broke her ankle.
That downtime led to an extraordinary idea: a website that lets customers completely personalize their party game experience with instant access to all the party games they'll ever want to play. Now there could be hundreds of games, and the games could be customized by age range, difficulty level, and even subject.
The vision took two years to execute, but it worked! Welcome to Monkey Lounge Games, you're online source for every party game you'll ever want to play.
